Hey! I’m Katelyn. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and co‑founder of Rooted Wellness and Psychotherapy. Therapy with me is real and deeply human - you’re invited to come exactly as you are, at any stage of your journey. We can (and hopefully will) laugh together, cry together, sit in the hard feelings, and uncover genuine solutions or meaningful discoveries about who you are.
As an EMDR‑IT therapist, I use an eclectic, person‑centred approach that integrates various modalities and adapts to your unique goals and strengths. My aim is to create a warm, supportive space where we can authentically explore whatever brings you to therapy, including mental wellness and nervous system regulation.
I work with adults, children, teens, and families navigating anxiety, trauma, low mood, relationship or family challenges, parent‑child dynamics, self‑esteem concerns, and behavioural or developmental difficulties. I bring curiosity, openness, and compassion into every session, and I love helping people feel understood, grounded, and empowered.
Outside of psychotherapy, I enjoy traveling, spending time with loved ones, and soaking up moments with my sweet dog, Arlo.

I support individuals who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, and stuck in survival mode, especially in high-pressure seasons like motherhood and life transitions. My approach is calm, down-to-earth, and rooted in nervous system regulation. I blend evidence-based therapies like CBT, somatic work, and mindfulness with real-life, practical tools that actually help in the moment, not just in theory. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about understanding what’s happening in your mind and body, reducing overwhelm, and helping you feel more like yourself again.
